PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty (EAN)
One of the most sought-after PADI specializations is the PADI Nitrox course, also known as diving with enriched air. Diving with enriched air means safer and longer stays underwater compared to regular air. Regular air contains 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen. During the PADI Nitrox course, we increase the oxygen content in the dive tank from a minimum of 32% to a maximum of 40%.
During this course, you'll discover why diving with higher oxygen levels and less nitrogen results in longer no-decompression limits. We also cover essential aspects related to equipment for diving with enriched air.
In practical sessions and two optional (or mandatory) dives, you will learn:
-
More about dealing with oxygen exposure.
-
How to analyze the oxygen percentage in your dive tank.
-
How to set up your dive computer for diving with enriched air.
Upon completion of the course, you'll be ready to dive as a certified PADI Enriched Air Nitrox diver and enjoy the numerous benefits of diving with enriched air:
-
Longer dive times
-
Improved safety
-
Reduced risk of decompression sickness
-
Shorter surface intervals between dives
This course is available for anyone aged 12 and above and lasts just one day. Does this sound like an adventure you don't want to miss?
